On Dora Ave in Tavares, Lodge #1578 has built a reputation that shows up in the numbers: 146 reviews averaging 4.8 stars. That kind of rating doesn't come from a slick marketing campaign. It comes from a kitchen that turns out memorable steak and salmon dinners, a staff that makes first-timers feel like returning members, and a culture where the hosts are just as much the draw as the menu.

The lodge sits on grounds with beautiful scenery that has caught the attention of travelers well beyond Lake County. RV travelers passing through on their way down to Fort Myers have pulled in for a single night and left writing five-star reviews. That says something real: this is a place that earns loyalty fast.

As a chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1578 channels its energy into active community service across Eustis, Tavares, and the surrounding area. The friendliness members and guests describe isn't a talking point. It's the thing every reviewer mentions first.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full calendar of dining events, with signature evenings built around steak dinners, salmon, and rotating specials that keep the regulars coming back week after week. The bar and lounge give members a comfortable spot to unwind after a long day, and the kitchen crew takes real pride in what comes out of it.

Beyond the dining room, Lodge #1578 maintains an RV lot that welcomes traveling Elks members, making it a genuine rest stop with scenery to match. The grounds offer a quieter, more personal alternative to commercial campgrounds, and the lodge interior is right there when you want a warm meal and good company.

Membership opens the door to fraternal events, charitable initiatives, and a tight-knit social community rooted in the Elks' national mission of service. Whether you're a lifelong member or just arriving in Lake County, the lodge door is open.

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
